Accepting contributions

It's been a while since I published the first version of abbr. It vanished in the depths and tumult of everyday life for a while, but then people started noticing it!

In the meantime I received bug reports via the issue tracker, suggestions and contributions via email, and even a question on IRC! I'm incredibly excited by the fact that something I've built might actually be useful for somebody else, and humbled by their willingness to take time and spend energy on improving things together.

January was a busy month for the package, and I made quite a few mistakes releasing untested changes, and non-working code, be it due to blindly trusting contributions, or due to rebasing old commits while too exhausted to catch mistakes. Writing these lines also just makes me realize that just having a document that tests all the features of the package would have saved me quite some trouble. brb. Ok, the package has a testing document now.

In the meantime, things have been quiet again. I'm taking this to be positive: the package contains all the features it needs, and they work.

If you do, however, feel that something's missing, don't hesitate to reach out :)

Thanks for being part of this journey!
